GYPSUM GRADES & APPLICATIONS

AGRICULTURE GRADE (30% Purity)

Our 30% purity gypsum is used primarily in soil amendment and agricultural practices.

Benefits in Agriculture:

  • Enhances soil structure by reducing compaction and crusting
  • Improves water infiltration and root development
  • Reclaims sodic and saline soils by replacing sodium with calcium
  • Increases crop yield and nutrient absorption
  • Ideal for use in wheat, cotton, sugarcane, and groundnut cultivation

Typical Composition:

  • CaSO4·2H2O: ~70–75%
  • Purity (as CaSO4): ~30%
  • Moisture: <3%
  • pH neutral

CEMENT GRADE (45–55% Purity)

This intermediate-grade gypsum is supplied to cement plants as a retarding agent, helping control the setting time of cement.

Applications in Cement Industry:

  • Acts as a regulator in Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC)
  • Supports uniform hardening and strength development
  • Suitable for blending in Plaster of Paris production
  • Enhances cement durability and workability

HIGH PURITY CEMENT GRADE (80–90% Purity)

RMR's high-purity natural gypsum is specifically used in premium cement and gypsum-based product manufacturing.

  • Used in fire-resistant panels and gypsum boards
