Dolomite

Dolomite , an earthy mineral, is a sedimentary rock ,chemically known as Calcium Magnesium Carbonate CaMg(CO?)?, named after the French naturalist and geologist Déodat Gratet de Dolomieu.

RMR Micro Minerals is one of India’s leading Dolomite suppliers in the form of powder/lumps. We supply Sintered dolomite, Calcined dolomite powder, , burnt ( calcined ) dolomite lumps for Agriculture, Horticulture, Sports, Turf, and Civil industries.RMR takes pride itself on the high grade dolomite we can offer to our clients. Our dolomite is natural dolomite, which is sourced from within Rajasthan and adjoining area . It is mined, crushed and ground, then uniquely granulated/prilled to form the base for soil amendments and as an ingredient in custom fertiliser blends. Our Dolomite quality is tested on defined parameters by our quality inspectors and offered in air-tight packaging to maintain its effectiveness for long time.

Salient Features of our Dolomite:

• Better Acid resistance
• High chemical purity and whiteness
• Translucent to transparent crystal appearance

• Higher Bulk density and high specific gravity
• Vitreous and pearly Luster

Sintered dolomite is a product obtained through high temperatures. Calcined dolomite is a material that plays an important role in the steel sector, both for its purifying action and for the protection of refractory linings. These are available in various packaging and different grades keeping in mind the requirements of customer.

Uses :

• Dolomite is chosen for many construction and building product applications due to its hardness and density. Asphalt and concrete applications prefer    dolomite as filler for its higher strength and hardness.
• It is used for acid neutralization in the chemical industry, in stream restoration projects, and as a soil conditioner.
• Dolomite also serves as an oil and gas reservoir rock. During the conversion of calcite to dolomite, a volume reduction occurs which produces pore    spaces in the rock that can be filled with oil or natural gas.
• The chemical industry uses the mineral dolomite in making magnesium salts including magnesia, magnesium oxide (MgO), which is used in    pharmaceuticals.
• Dolomite is used as a source of magnesium metal and of magnesia (MgO), which is a constituent of refractory bricks.
• Dolomite provides valuable nutrients to plants and helps change the pH of the soil by raising it to match the plants' needs.
• Dolomite is used both as a fluxing material and also as a refractory material in the manufacturing of refractory bricks, felting materials and for the blast    furnace and sintering plants.
• It is an indispensible mineral in field of aquaculture which increase the alkalinity of water, provide trace elements and macro nutrients for fish feed and    create an environment for algae to grow.
• Dolomites make up great looking countertops and can be used in kitchen, bathrooms in residential and commercial projects.
• It is an ideal raw material in adhesive and sealant formulation to improve the mechanical properties, resistance and rheology.
