China Clay

China clay , one of the purest clays, is categorised under Kaolinite clay group. Chemically, clays are hydrous aluminum silicates with an approximate composition of Al2O3–2SiO2–2H2O. From plastics to paints, coatings and paper to fine porcelain - china clay is a versatile raw material for everyday products. Its commercial value is based on its whiteness, and its fine particle size as these characteristics determine fluidity, colour, abrasiveness, strength, plasticity and ease of dispersion.

We are the most trusted exporter, manufacturer and supplier of superior quality China Clay . We offer china clay in different sizes and compositions and grades in different packaging.

It is widely used in various industrial applications as it exhibits good dispersability in water based systems, improves brightness of colours and viscosity. It has low shrink–swell capacity and a low cation-exchange capacity. It is chemically inert and relatively inexpensive when compared with other mineral pigments.

Paints & Coatings :

It is widely used as in paint industry to extend the titanium dioxide (TiO) and as white pigment and modify gloss levels. It gives desirable flow properties and thus reducing amount of expensive pigments required.

Paper :

China clay is most extensively used in paper industry , as a filler between the paper fibres, to improve printing quality and as a coating, to enhance the surface properties of the paper. It is a cost effective alternative to all wood paper filler, which has become more expensive owing to increase in demand for paper and decrease in supply of wood. It improves paper appearance, giving it varying degrees of gloss, smoothness, brightness, opacity and most importantly printability.

Ceramics :

China clay is a vital component in manufacturing. It is used for the manufacture of sanitaryware, tableware, tiles, electrical porcelain and glazes where its high fusion temperature and white burning characteristics makes it particularly suitable to obtain desirable ceramic properties.

Rubber :

It is used as filler for filling rubber to improve its mechanical strength and resistance to abrasion. For this purpose, the clay used must be extremely pure kaolinite and exceedingly fine grained.

Plastics & Polymer :

China clay, acts as functional filler provides smooth surface, dimensional stability, viscosity and resistance to chemical attack. It reduces shrinkage and cracks during polymer compounding and shape forming. It is used in several polymeric systems including vinylic polymers, epoxies, polyamides, polysulphides, polyesters, phenol-formaldehyde resins, and silicones/silylated polymers.

Cosmetics & Soap :

It is a cosmetic clay, one of the most gentle clays, helps to exfoliate dead skin cells. It is safe in nature and has great absorbing and soothing properties which is great for sensitive skin types. It is used both in toilet and laundary soaps as it helps purify and nourish the skin.

Pesticides & Agricultural sprays :

: It has been in use in agriculture in seed coatings and as sprays to control insect pests and diseases protecting plant from environmental stresses.

Electrical Insulators :

It is also utilized in manufacturing of electrical insulators. China clay improve mechanical and electrical properties by reducing energy losses in power transmission .

Sealants & Adhesives :

China clay , due to its physical properties like tear resistance, impact resistance . cohesive strength improvement and thus ability to control rheology gives good barrier properties in sealants by creating a tortuous path. Clays with low surface moisture content results in excellent performance in moisture sensitive sealant applications.

Fibreglass :

China Clay is one of the ingredients for manufacturing fibreglass as a filler. It also improves the integration of fibres in products requiring strengthened plastics: cars, boats and marine products, sporting goods and recreation products, aviation and aerospace products, circuit board manufacturing, fibreglass insulation, fibreglass air filters, fibreglass tanks and pipes, corrosion resistant fibreglass products, fibreglass building and construction products.

Cement based systems :

The clay , when mixed with concrete mix, as an add-mixer, imparts enhanced compressive and flexural strength and water permeability to concrete. It augments cement to provide high strength and quick setting concrete mixtures. Water permeability imparted is useful in prolonging the durability of concrete.
